The Texas Space Case Competition was created to inspire students from all majors to engage with commercial space and sustainability. This collaborative environment aims to bring out the innovation of Austin’s brightest minds, and partner them to spark real change in the new space economy.

The space industry is expected to expand to nearly $3 trillion by 2030*, and with over $1.3 billion of equity investment so far in 2018**, it's clear there is serious money to be made in the commercial space industry.

Over a week, multidisciplinary teams of at least 3 students will research and develop space-based applications that solve today's greatest challenges. By combining cutting-edge space technology, reasonable business approaches, and social entrepreneurship, you'll demonstrate new ways that space can be used to improve life on Earth.
